Platelet Rich Plasma
PRP
Platelet Rich Plasma therapy (PRP) involves re-injecting your own platelet rich plasma into your skin regenerating and revitalising damaged and aging skin.
PRP contains an abundance of stem cells and growth factors and when delivered directly into the skin it is rejuvenating and repairing, boosting collagen and elastin production naturally. This in turn thickens and tightens thinning skin, effectively smoothing wrinkles and fine lines.
It is also a great treatment for improving overall skin texture and tone – perfect for tightening crepey skin around the eyes, face, neck, hands and decolletage. PRP is extremely effective for difficult to treat areas, such as the delicate under-eye area, where clients often notice signs of ageing first but where no laser can be used. It’s particularly good for people who suffer from rosacea or acne. Treatment is by direct injection and microneedling PRP into the skin’s surface with hyaluronic acid. This boosts the skin hydration and enhances the treatment for a full face rejuvenation.
Results of PRP can start becoming visible at 3 weeks and increase gradually over the ensuing months – the results are cumulative and get better and better. Results typically last 12 to 18 months after an initial series of three treatments.
PRP is good for
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Textural improvement
• Dull dry skin
• Crepey neck
• Aged hands
Safety

However the following medical conditions are a contraindication for use of PRP:
- Critical thrombocytopenia (low platelet count)
- Hypofibrinogenaemia.
- Haemodynamic instability (collapse)
- Sepsis (infection)
- Acute and chronic infections.
